Rely on the experts at
Olympic Anglers Guide Services for
top-notch guided fishing. We offer year-round trips to
give you the full fishing experience that the Olympic
Peninsula has to offer. Winter run Steelheading starts
just after Thanksgiving. We start winter steelhead trips
when runs of hatchery steelhead have entered the Hoh and
Quillayute river systems. With each rain more fresh
hatchery fish enter the rivers through mid-January.
Spring Steelhead &
Salmon The Northwest Olympic Peninsula carries
the largest strain of steelhead in North America, with
fish exceeding 30 pounds. As the winter hatchery fish
start to fade their wild, hard-fighting brethren enter
the rivers. Large numbers of wild fish are in the river
from the 15th of February through the 15th of April.
Spring Chinook start showing in April and run into June.
There is no finer eating fish than the spring Chinook or
"Springers" as they are referred too by locals.
Scenic Summer
Fishing Enjoy a summer favorite by vacationing
in the Olympic National park, then treating your family
to a scenic float trip on the Hoh river. Catch summer
kings, steelhead, cutthroat trout, and dolly varden
during your float trip. Summer steelhead and feisty
cutthroat trout are available from June to September. It
is the summer king that brings people back, these
ferocious fighters will try to empty your reel of line
with screaming runs.
Fall Salmon
The first fall rains in mid-October bring in waves of
Coho and Chinook. Coho can exceed 20 pounds, and kings
can weigh more than 40. We receive an annual rainfall of
more than 120 inches, Abundant rainfall keeps the fish
coming with every storm. This is also a great time to
fill the freezer, as well as the smoker with fine eating
salmon .
